Mystic Flowers delivers get well flowers, plants and cheerful arrangements to patients at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton, on the Charlton Campus in downtown Hamilton. Our studio is in Mississauga, every arrangement is hand-arranged by our florists, and every order includes a free handwritten card.
About the hospital
St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton was founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Hamilton, and it has cared for the city for more than 130 years. The Charlton Campus stands at 50 Charlton Avenue East, at the corner of James Street South in Corktown. It is an acute care hospital with more than 600 beds, an emergency department, women's and infants' programs, a surgical centre and the Firestone Institute for Respiratory Health. It is a teaching and research hospital that works with McMaster University and Mohawk College.
Check the campus first
St. Joseph's has three campuses in Hamilton: Charlton, West 5th and King. The hospital is often called St. Joe's, so please ask the family which campus your patient is at before you order. This page gives the address for the Charlton Campus. If your patient is at another campus, please call our studio before you order.
A scent-free hospital
St. Joseph's describes itself as a scent-free facility and asks visitors not to wear scented products. Latex balloons are not permitted anywhere in the hospital. The visitor information we found does not mention flowers, so please ask before you order. Ask the family, or call the hospital's main line at 905-522-1155 and ask about the unit. If flowers are not welcome on the unit, a bouquet delivered to the patient's home is a lovely welcome back.
Delivery to St. Joseph's
Hamilton is on our Monday to Saturday routes. Our Sunday zone does not include Hamilton, so for a Sunday surprise, please plan for Saturday delivery. We offer same-day delivery of fresh flowers, delivery is free on orders of $50 or more, and orders under $50 have a $15 delivery fee. We email you as soon as your order has been delivered. Hamilton is at the western edge of our regular routes, so please call our studio at 905-677-9999 before you order if your flowers need to arrive at a set time.

Choosing for a scent-free hospital
If flowers are allowed, ask our florists for a design with little or no scent when you call, and leave out strongly scented blooms. A small plant from our potted plants and succulents is another idea, if the unit allows plants, and it can go home with the patient afterwards.
