The short answer: Mystic Flowers offers same-day delivery of fresh flowers across the Greater Toronto Area, with different routes on Sundays. Gift baskets are the exception, because they are made to order and need a day's notice. This guide explains which areas we reach on which days, what to have ready when you order, and when it is worth picking up the phone.
What can go out the same day
Fresh flower bouquets and arrangements are what our same-day delivery is built for. Our florists hand-arrange each order in our Mississauga studio. Our best sellers are a good place to start when time is short, and flowers and gifts under $60 and roses cover the most common gifts.
Gift baskets work differently. They are made to order, so please place your order one day in advance. If you need something on the doorstep today, choose flowers and add a basket for another day.
Where we deliver, Monday to Saturday
From Monday to Saturday, our routes cover:
- Toronto, including Etobicoke, York, North York, Scarborough, Downsview and East York
- Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Hamilton
- Brampton, Caledon, Bolton, Georgetown and Acton
- Vaughan, Woodbridge, Concord, Maple, King City and Oak Ridges
- Markham, Thornhill, Richmond Hill, Stouffville, Aurora, Newmarket and East Gwillimbury
- Pickering, Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa
Where we deliver on Sundays
Our Sunday routes are shorter. On Sundays we deliver to Toronto (including Etobicoke, York, North York, Scarborough, Downsview and East York), Markham, Brampton, Vaughan, Woodbridge, Concord, Thornhill, Richmond Hill, Mississauga, Oakville and Burlington.
If your address is in Hamilton, Milton, Oak Ridges, King City, Maple, Newmarket, Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Stouffville, Caledon, Bolton, Georgetown, Acton, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby or Oshawa, it is not on the Sunday routes, so plan for Saturday delivery instead. That matters most for a Sunday birthday or a Mother's Day surprise, when flowers that arrive the day before still do the job well.
The full list and the map are on our delivery information page. Uxbridge, Bowmanville, Orangeville, Guelph, Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo and Grimsby are inside the outer border of the map but are not on our regular routes, so please call before you order and we will confirm the delivery day.
What delivery costs
Delivery is free on orders of $50 or more to the areas on our map. Orders under $50 have a $15 delivery fee. Every order includes a free handwritten card, and we email you as soon as your order has been delivered, which is handy when you are sending to someone in another part of the city and want to know it arrived.
What to have ready when you order
A minute of preparation helps a same-day order go smoothly. Have these ready:
- the recipient's full name and complete street address, including the unit or suite number
- a phone number for the recipient, or your own number if the flowers are a surprise
- the buzzer code or any delivery notes, if it is a condo or an office tower
- your card message, signed the way you would like it
- your own phone number, in case we have a question
Sending to a workplace? Include the company name and the floor. Our guide to sending flowers to a business covers front desks and mail rooms.
Funeral homes and hospitals
All funeral flowers are delivered directly to the funeral home. Please add the drop-off time in your order notes at checkout, along with the name of the person who passed away and the date and time of the visitation or service. Our funeral home list has addresses, and sympathy and funeral flowers shows what we make for a service.
For a hospital delivery, include the patient's full name and the unit or room number if the family has shared them, and check first whether the unit allows flowers. Our guide to sending flowers to someone in hospital has more on this.
When to call instead
Ordering online is the quickest route most of the time, but a call to the studio at 905-677-9999 makes sense in a few cases:
- You need a set time. We do everything we can to meet a requested time, but traffic and weather are out of our hands, so we cannot guarantee a specific time for a regular delivery. For delivery at a specific time, call us before you order. Additional charges may apply depending on the location.
- It is later in the day. If you are not sure whether an order can still go out today, ask us and we will tell you what is possible for that address.
- The address is at the edge of our area. We will confirm the delivery day before you order.
- You want something custom. A florist can talk through colours and sizes with you.
What if a flower is not available?
Getting a same-day order out on time sometimes means making a change. In an arrangement of assorted flowers, the colours shown online are used if at all possible, even if that means using other kinds of flowers of equal or greater value. For an arrangement of one flower, such as all roses or all lilies, we try to match the flower type and may change the colour. Our substitution policy has the details.
A few ideas when time is short
For a birthday, our birthday flowers are ready to choose from. For a get well wish, start with get well flowers, and for a loss in the family, sympathy baskets and vase arrangements suit the family home. Our guide to what to write on a sympathy card can help if the words will not come.
If you are planning ahead for a big day rather than rushing today, ordering early gives you the widest choice. Questions? Call our Mississauga studio at 905-677-9999.
