Meadowvale Funeral Centre has a two-storey chapel and atrium, plus two visitation and reception rooms. Knowing where the flowers will stand helps you choose the right size:

• In the chapel. A tall chapel suits tributes with height, such as a standing spray or a wreath on an easel, which can be seen from the back rows.
• Around the casket. The family usually orders the casket spray, and our funeral packages match it with standing pieces.
• In a visitation or reception room. A basket or vase sympathy arrangement fits well on a side table or beside a photo display, and it can go home with the family afterwards.

Choosing colours

All-white tributes of roses, lilies and chrysanthemums are a calm, traditional choice. Many families also welcome soft pinks and lavender, or the favourite colour of the person being remembered. If you are sending on behalf of a group, one larger piece signed from everyone often makes a stronger tribute than several small ones. If the notice asks for donations in place of flowers, please follow the family's wishes.

If you cannot attend, flowers sent to the family's home are a gentle way to show you care.
