Canada's only borough
East York began as a township in 1924, when residents split from York Township. It became the Borough of East York in 1967 by merging with the town of Leaside, and it was known as Canada's only borough until it joined today's City of Toronto in 1998. Today, East York sits north of Danforth Avenue, between the Don River and Victoria Park Avenue.

Just south of East York on Danforth Avenue, we deliver to Giffen-Mack and Trull Funeral Home, one of the two Giffen-Mack homes, next to Main Street subway station.
