St. Michael's Hospital Flower Delivery

Mystic Flowers delivers get well flowers, plants and cheerful arrangements to patients at St. Michael's Hospital in downtown Toronto. Our studio is in Mississauga, every arrangement is hand-arranged by our florists, and every order includes a free handwritten card.

About the hospital

St. Michael's Hospital stands at 30 Bond Street, near Queen and Yonge Streets in the Garden District. The Sisters of St. Joseph founded it in 1892, in a former Baptist church on Bond Street, to care for the poor of the city's south end. Today, it is part of Unity Health Toronto and a teaching hospital, and it is known for trauma and critical care, brain and heart care, and one of the largest multiple sclerosis clinics in North America.

Delivery to St. Michael's

Toronto is in both of our delivery zones, so we deliver to the hospital from Monday to Saturday and on Sundays too. We offer same-day delivery of fresh flowers, delivery is free on orders of $50 or more, and orders under $50 have a $15 delivery fee. We email you as soon as your order has been delivered. If your flowers need to arrive at a set time, please call our studio at 905-677-9999 before you order.

What to include with your order

  • the patient's full name, as the hospital has it on record
  • St. Michael's Hospital, 30 Bond Street, Toronto, M5B 1W8
  • the unit or floor and the room number, if the family has shared them
  • your own phone number, in case we have a question
  • your card message, signed with your name

Check the unit first

Unity Health Toronto says that flowers are not allowed in its intensive care and respirology units, or in any room where a patient is allergic to them. It also says that latex balloons are not allowed at any of its sites. Critical care is a big part of the work at St. Michael's, so please ask the family which unit your patient is on before you order, or call the hospital switchboard at 416-360-4000. Rules can change, so it is always worth checking. If flowers are not allowed, a bouquet delivered to the patient's home is a lovely welcome back.

When someone is recovering from an accident

As a trauma centre, St. Michael's cares for people who arrived here with no warning at all. Families are often overwhelmed in those first days, and a patient may not be ready for flowers. A short message to the family, or flowers sent to their home, can mean more than a large arrangement on the ward. Our guide to get well flowers has wording ideas for when you are not sure what to say.

Choosing get well flowers

When flowers are welcome, a compact design in its own vase or basket is easiest on a bedside table, and gentle scents are kinder in a shared room.
