About the hospital
Milton District Hospital is part of Halton Healthcare and serves Milton and the surrounding area. It first opened in 1959. A large expansion completed in 2017 added a new patient care building, roughly doubled the number of inpatient beds and made the emergency department much larger. The hospital also has a maternal newborn unit with a special care nursery.
The hospital sits on Derry Road in Milton. Public listings give more than one street address for the site, so please use the address and entrance the patient's family gives you, and we will take it from there.
Delivery to Milton District Hospital
Milton is in our Monday to Saturday delivery zone, so we deliver to the hospital Monday to Saturday. Our Sunday zone does not include Milton, so for a Sunday we suggest sending on Saturday or on Monday. We offer same-day delivery of fresh flowers, and delivery is free on orders of $50 or more. We email you as soon as your order has been delivered.

Check with the unit first
Rules on flowers can differ from unit to unit. Some units, such as intensive care, may not allow fresh flowers or plants. Before you order, check with the family or call the hospital to ask whether the patient's unit accepts flowers. If it does not, flowers sent to the patient's home for when they return make a warm welcome back.
What to send
A compact arrangement in its own vase or basket is easiest for a hospital room, because it fits on a bedside table and nobody has to find a container. Lightly scented flowers suit a shared room better than strongly fragrant lilies.
