Flowers for St. John's Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium, Mississauga

Mystic Flowers delivers sympathy and funeral flowers to St. John's Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium at 737 Dundas Street East, Mississauga, on the north side of Dundas Street at Cawthra Road. It is one of Mississauga's historic cemeteries, behind St. John the Baptist (Dixie) Anglican Church, and is run as a non-denominational cemetery by a board of trustees from the church. The grounds include a chapel, a crematorium, a visitation centre and indoor columbarium niches. Every tribute we send there is hand-arranged by our florists in our Mississauga studio, and every order includes a free handwritten card.

Delivery to Dundas Street East

Mississauga is in both of our delivery zones, so we deliver here Monday to Saturday and on Sundays. We offer same-day delivery of fresh flowers, and delivery is free on orders of $50 or more. Funeral flowers go directly to the service location, so please add the drop-off time in the order notes at checkout. We email you as soon as your order has been delivered.

What to include with your order

  • the full name of the person who has passed
  • St. John's Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium, 737 Dundas Street East, Mississauga
  • whether the flowers are for the chapel or the visitation centre, if you know
  • the date and time of the visitation or service, and the drop-off time in the order notes
  • a card message signed with your name, or your family's or group's name

Not sure of the details? Call our studio at 905-677-9999 and we will help you plan the delivery.

A chapel service, a cremation or a burial

Because the chapel, crematorium and cemetery share one site, families here may hold a visitation, a chapel service and a committal or cremation on the same day. Choose flowers to suit the part of the day you are sending for:

  • Standing sprays stand on an easel in the chapel or visitation centre, and are a fitting gift from co-workers, neighbours or a community group. See standing sprays.
  • Casket sprays rest on the casket and are usually chosen by the immediate family. See casket sprays.
  • Urn arrangements frame an urn and a photograph when the family has chosen cremation. See cremation and urn flowers.
  • Vase and basket arrangements suit a side table, and the family can take them home afterwards. See sympathy arrangements.

For help choosing for a cremation or memorial, read our guide to flowers for a cremation or memorial service.

Visiting a niche or grave later

Many families return on a birthday, an anniversary or a holiday. Indoor columbaria and cemeteries usually have their own guidance on what can be placed beside a niche or at a grave, so check with the cemetery office before you bring or send flowers. A vase arrangement or a potted plant delivered to the family home is always a welcome way to remember someone.

Choosing colours

White and cream are the most traditional sympathy colours, and our white flowers include sprays and vase designs. Soft pastels, or the favourite colours of the person being remembered, are also a thoughtful choice.
