Mystic Flowers delivers sympathy and funeral flowers to The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre at 1535 South Gateway Road, Mississauga, ON L4W 5J1. The centre is part of the Mount Pleasant Group and has served families in Mississauga since 1996. It is a single-storey, accessible building with a non-denominational chapel, a reception room and a coffee lounge. Every tribute we send there is hand-arranged by our florists in our Mississauga studio, and every order includes a free handwritten card.

Delivery to South Gateway Road

Mississauga is in both of our delivery zones, so we deliver here Monday to Saturday and on Sundays. We offer same-day delivery of fresh flowers, and delivery is free on orders of $50 or more. Funeral flowers go directly to the funeral centre, so please add the drop-off time in the order notes at checkout. We email you as soon as your order has been delivered.

Flowers for a service of any faith

The Simple Alternative serves families of all faiths and cultures, and its chapel is non-denominational. Customs around funeral flowers differ from one tradition to another. Some families welcome large displays, some prefer white flowers only, and some ask for donations instead of flowers. If the notice does not say, a quick word with the family or the funeral director avoids any guesswork.

When flowers are welcome, these are the usual choices:

Standing sprays stand on an easel at the front of the chapel, and are a fitting gift from co-workers, neighbours or a community group. See standing sprays.

Flowers for the reception

Choosing colours

White and cream are the most widely accepted sympathy colours, and our white flowers include sprays and vase designs. Soft pastels, or the favourite colours of the person being remembered, are also a thoughtful choice where the family's customs allow.
