Mount Sinai Hospital Flower Delivery

Mystic Flowers delivers new baby flowers, get well arrangements and plants to Mount Sinai Hospital in downtown Toronto. Our studio is in Mississauga, every arrangement is hand-arranged by our florists, and every order includes a free handwritten card.

About the hospital

Mount Sinai Hospital stands at 600 University Avenue, at Gerrard Street West, and is part of Sinai Health. It opened in 1923 on Yorkville Avenue as the Hebrew Maternity and Convalescent Hospital, took the name Mount Sinai the next year, and moved to University Avenue in 1953. Founded to serve Jewish patients, it has long cared for people from many communities. Births remain a big part of its work, and it delivers thousands of babies every year.

Mount Sinai is linked by bridges and tunnels to Toronto General Hospital and other hospitals on University Avenue, so it is easy to mix them up. Please confirm the hospital name with the family before you order. Our Toronto General Hospital page covers that site.

Delivery to Mount Sinai

Toronto is in both of our delivery zones, so we deliver to the hospital from Monday to Saturday and on Sundays too. We offer same-day delivery of fresh flowers, delivery is free on orders of $50 or more, and orders under $50 have a $15 delivery fee. We email you as soon as your order has been delivered. If your flowers need to arrive at a set time, please call our studio at 905-677-9999 before you order.

What to include with your order

  • the patient's full name, as the hospital has it on record
  • Mount Sinai Hospital, 600 University Avenue, Toronto, M5G 1X5
  • the unit or floor and the room number, if the family has shared them
  • your own phone number, in case we have a question
  • your card message, signed with your name

Flowers for a new baby

Many parents go home soon after the birth, so a hospital delivery can miss them by a few hours. Before you send to the hospital, ask the family how long they expect to stay. If they are heading home soon, or if the baby is in a special care unit, a bouquet waiting at home is often the better surprise. Our new baby flowers are bright and cheerful, and our guide to new baby flowers explains when to send them and what to write on the card.

Check the unit first

Each unit sets its own rules, and they can change. Intensive care, cancer care and other units may not allow fresh flowers or plants at all, and strong scents can be a concern in shared rooms. Ask the family before you order, or call the hospital at 416-596-4200. If flowers are not allowed, a delivery to the patient's home is a lovely welcome back.

Choosing get well flowers

A compact design in its own vase or basket is easiest on a bedside table, and soft colours suit a quiet room.
