How Much Do Funeral Flowers Cost? GTA Price Guide

The Whispering Love Sympathy Arrangement

The short answer: on our site in November 2026, a sympathy bouquet or basket starts at about $65 to $80, a wreath or standing spray at about $200, a casket spray at about $170, and a full funeral package at about $790. As a friend or colleague, you do not need to go near the top of these ranges. This guide lists our current prices by type, explains what changes the price, and offers some thoughts on how much to spend.

Funeral flower prices by type

These ranges were read from our product pages in November 2026 and are in Canadian dollars. Prices can change, so the product page always has the current one.

What changes the price

Two arrangements can look alike in a small photo and be quite different in the room. A few things account for most of the gap.

  • Size. A larger piece takes more stems and more time. Many of our arrangements come in more than one size, each with its own price, and the size picker on the product page shows them.
  • The flowers themselves. Roses, lilies and orchids usually cost more per stem than carnations and daisies. That is why a carnation casket spray can cost far less than one with roses and lilies.
  • The form. A standing spray or a wreath is built to stand on an easel and be seen from across a room, so it needs more structure than a vase arrangement. A casket spray is made to fit the length of a casket lid and is one of the largest pieces at a service.
  • Custom work. A special colour, a design for one person or a request to match other flowers can change the price. Call us at 905-677-9999 and we can talk through what is possible.

How much should you spend?

There is no correct amount, and no family keeps score. What people usually remember is that you thought of them. These are common patterns rather than rules.

  • A friend, neighbour or colleague: a bouquet, a basket or a plant is a kind and fitting gesture. Many choices sit under $150.
  • A group from a workplace, club or team: pooling money often makes a standing spray or a wreath possible, with the card signed from everyone. Our guide to sympathy flowers for a coworker or boss has more on this.
  • Extended family: a larger arrangement, a wreath or a standing spray is a common choice.
  • Immediate family: the casket spray, or a package that includes one, usually comes from the closest relatives. If siblings or cousins share the cost, one person placing the order keeps things simple.

If you are not sure what suits your relationship, our guide to what flowers to send to a funeral home walks through the choices.

How to stay within your budget

  • Start from the amount, then choose the type. Our sympathy flowers under $100 are a good first stop for a smaller budget, and our flowers and gifts under $100 have more everyday designs. For example, the Whispering Love Arrangement starts at about $90 in its smallest size.
  • Look at the smallest size. Where a design comes in several sizes, the smallest usually has the same look with fewer stems.
  • Send to the home instead. A vase arrangement, basket or plant for the family's home costs less than a standing piece, and it stays with them after the service.
  • Share the cost. One larger piece from a group can mean more to a family than several small ones, and it costs each person less.
  • Consider something that lasts. A potted plant or a planter can be a modest purchase that the family keeps for a long time. Our guide to sympathy plants or flowers compares the two.

What is included with your order

Every arrangement is hand-arranged by our florists in our Mississauga studio. Every order includes a free handwritten card, so you do not need to budget for one. For help with the wording, read what to write on a sympathy card.

Delivery is free on orders over $50, which covers every price range above. Check the delivery map and zones to confirm that we reach your address. Funeral flowers are delivered directly to the funeral home, so please add the funeral home, the name of the person who has passed and the drop-off time in your order notes at checkout. If the flowers must arrive at a set time, please call before you order and we will tell you what is possible.

If the family has asked for no flowers

Some notices ask for donations instead of flowers. If yours does, it is kind to follow that wish. Our guide to what "in lieu of flowers" means explains the options.
