Long Branch and Alderwood Flower Delivery

Mystic Flowers delivers fresh flowers across Long Branch and Alderwood, in the southwest corner of Toronto where Etobicoke meets Mississauga. Our florists hand-arrange every bouquet, arrangement and sympathy tribute in our Mississauga studio, on the other side of Etobicoke Creek, and this corner of the city is on our regular delivery routes seven days a week.

Same-day flower delivery in Long Branch and Alderwood

We offer same-day delivery of fresh flowers in Long Branch and Alderwood. Both are part of Toronto, so they fall in both of our delivery zones, which means delivery from Monday to Saturday and on Sundays too. Orders of $50 or more are delivered free, orders under $50 have a $15 delivery fee, and we email you as soon as your order has been delivered.

Long Branch's cross streets are numbered, and the numbers carry on from New Toronto next door, so please check the street and house number before you order. If your flowers need to arrive at a set time, call 905-677-9999 before you order and we will tell you what is possible for that address.

A summer resort and a farm community

Long Branch began as a place to get away for the summer. In 1886 Thomas Wilkie and his brother took over a lakeside resort site here and named it Long Branch Park, after the New Jersey town where Thomas had vacationed. The Long Branch Hotel followed in 1887, and an electric railway reached it along Lake Shore Road in 1895. After Hurricane Hazel in October 1954, cottages and houses on the floodplain at the mouth of Etobicoke Creek were removed, and the land became the park named in 1959 for village reeve Marie Curtis.

Alderwood, just to the north, grew from farm lots. Archibald Cameron bought most of the land in 1850, and in 1874 he sold it to Daniel Horner, the Etobicoke councillor whose name is still on Horner Avenue. Alderwood became a postal village in 1933 and grew quickly after the Second World War. Its name points to Etobicoke itself, the place where the alders grow. Long Branch joined Etobicoke in 1967, and the whole district became part of today's City of Toronto in 1998.

Flowers for family occasions

These are neighbourhoods of family homes, so many of our orders here mark a birthday, an anniversary or a new arrival. Our best sellers and flowers under $100 are a good place to start, or browse birthday flowers, anniversary flowers and new baby gifts. For something that lasts on a windowsill, see our plants and succulents. Our gift baskets are made to order and need at least one day's notice. Every order includes a free handwritten card.

Flowers for someone in hospital

For a patient across the city line at Mississauga Hospital, our page for the hospital has the address and what to include. Our get well flowers are a good place to start.

Sympathy and funeral flowers

Funeral flowers are delivered directly to the funeral home. Near Long Branch and Alderwood, we deliver to G.H. Hogle Funeral Home in Mimico and the Butler Chapel of Turner & Porter in Islington Village. Add the name of the funeral home and the drop-off time in your order notes, and see our sympathy and funeral flowers or our funeral home list.
