Flowers for Highland Funeral Home, Scarborough and Markham

Mystic Flowers delivers sympathy and funeral flowers to both chapels of Highland Funeral Home: the Scarborough Chapel at 3280 Sheppard Avenue East, Scarborough, and the Markham Chapel at 10 Cachet Woods Court, Markham, ON L6C 3G1. Scarborough and Markham are both on our regular GTA delivery routes, and every arrangement is hand-arranged by our florists in our Mississauga studio.

Which Highland chapel is the service at?

Highland has two locations, one in Scarborough and one in Markham, so the most important detail on your order is the chapel. The funeral notice or the family will usually say "Scarborough Chapel" or "Markham Chapel". If you are not sure, check the notice again or call our studio at 905-677-9999 before you order, and we will help you confirm it.

What to include with your order

  • the full name of the person who has passed
  • Highland Funeral Home and the chapel: Scarborough (Sheppard Avenue East) or Markham (Cachet Woods Court)
  • the date and time of the visitation or service
  • any timing details, in your order notes at checkout
  • your message for the free handwritten card

Flowers for the service go directly to the funeral home, so you do not need to call Highland yourself.

Choosing flowers for the service

  • Standing sprays. A standing spray on an easel is a traditional tribute from friends, co-workers or a group, and it stands near the casket or at the front of the room.
  • Casket sprays. A casket spray is usually chosen by the immediate family. Our funeral packages pair one with matching pieces.
  • Wreaths and hearts. Wreaths and standing hearts are often sent by a spouse, children or grandchildren.
  • Arrangements. Basket, urn and vase sympathy arrangements suit a visitation and can go home with the family afterwards.

Respecting the family's traditions

Families in Scarborough and Markham come from many cultures and faiths, and customs around funeral flowers can differ. Some families prefer all-white flowers, some welcome colour, and some ask for donations instead of flowers. If the notice mentions a preference, follow it. If it says nothing, white roses, lilies and chrysanthemums are a calm, respectful choice for almost any service, and our florists are happy to suggest something suitable if you call.

Sending flowers to the family's home

If you cannot attend, or would rather send something to the family directly, we also deliver to homes in Scarborough, Markham, Unionville and Richmond Hill. A vase arrangement or a potted orchid or plant lasts well in the days after the service. Delivery is free on orders of $50 or more, and every order includes a free handwritten card.
